Wow. Wasnt expecting much and was surprised. For fans of ikaossilator or Figure, this is right up your alley. However, this is different and its the basic sequencing that you can do that makes this little app shine. I said you, cause this is more than a fancy loop player. No ACP but Figure doesnt have it either and it took Korg a spell to implement it in ikaossilator. This program is actually programmable unlike the other two and a blast to play with. Buy it now. I said now. The four star review is simply because there is room for improvement and I know with proper support this app could be like nanoloop making love to an electribe.

Im hesitant to give 5 star ratings, but this thing is amazing! Being able to use your own sounds, and the adjustable step sequencer (1-16) plus the playback speed adjustment (factor 0.5 to 2), really help with creating something thats outside the box! The layout is also very performance ready, once youve familiarized yourself with all the possibilities. This thing is deep!!!

Great start but I am hoping for some improvements to earn that last star. For starters, I personally think Apps should not need a PC hook up to fully function. Please give us more options for sample loading. ACP Could you let us draw in the values in the sequencer? The slider gets the job done but why not use the power of the touch screen?

It needs copy paste board! More than 16 steps per grid A few more effects Stutter perhaps... The latency is kinda iffy on this app as well Once those things are added fixed ill up the stars! There are just too many music tools that dont offer what should be standard, dropbox files, copy paste, etc.

This app goes Deep if you delve in! Automation wins, loop lengths win. Dropbox support is a good option to consider for sample imports;-) But im giving this thing two thumbs up, looking forward to any updates.

I really like this app... You can think the sequencer is very limited, but the automation efx make magic!! I hope in the next update this app support loop samples for to make ultra edited slices break combos! :0)

Got some time to play with it and its really good, you can go really deep into settings as well or keep it simple! Perfect!

I dont rate music apps based on their user interface, or how intuitive they are, or the features the developer did or didnt include. I rate music apps based on what I get out of them, and how much they push my creativity. After one day of owning this app, Ive sketched out six beats I really like, and I did them all quickly. Theres something about this app that just pulls good grooves out of you, then encourages you to automate and tweak it until it sounds lush and unique. That really is the key; I own a lot of music apps by now (Nanostudio, djay, SunVox, Rhythm Studio, bleep!BOX, Garageband, Figure, etc.) but none of them get such an immediately exciting, foot-tapping, fully-realized sound out of me the way this one has after one day of playing with it. I hope the developer and the people reading this review understand what a compliment that is, because all of those apps are incredible in their own right. Triqtraqs included sample kits are gorgeous and I cant wait to start adding my own. Im very glad they chose to include that feature. Like most people, I hope they add some sort of audio export in a later version (preferably a way to record your performance within the app, then export the wave file) but this is version 1.0 and, since Im having such a good experience with the app, I feel I have no right to complain. If this app never got an update I would still love it. NEVERTHELESS, here is my feature wish list :) - Most importantly, the ability to change the Level, Pan, Attack, and Decay of each individual sample within a kit, inside of the program. - The ability to automate the LOOPSPEED function - The Filter X/Y Pad is amazing, of course...maybe some additional effects? A Bitcrusher? Foldback Distortion? Reverb? Glitch? - The ability to record lead parts with the X/Y Pad would also be pretty awesome. Just sayin. - Additional Pattern Banks! Thats honestly all I can think of at the moment. I cant express how glad I am I found this app. You cant put a price on a great musical instrument, and Im a very software-heavy musician, so right now I feel the way some people feel when they buy an MPC60 or a 909 or a vintage Telecaster. Except I spent two dollars. Thank you so much to the developer for this brilliant machine.

I opened the app, poked around confused... And then figured it out within four minutes and created a great little track. Get it, its as good as the others say. Just needs some kind of wav or aiff export.

Needs: audio copy/paste, a sample editor, more scales/modes, a few more FX. other than that, this app is music-making crack.

Audio copy/ paste is needed. I want to like this app but it is not blowing my mind like everyone else who is reviewing it. I have to watch some demos and then re rate.... But needs ACP like nobodies business. I have no idea why people are still making music apps without it. All and all a decent time killer.

Still hoping for some updates... please support this app as it is fantastic just the way it is. Fun AND Powerful.

This thing is absolute garbage compared to the Figure! app by propellerhead. That app has a clean UI, crisp graphics, and intuitive controls. This app has none of that at 3 times the price. Youve been warned.

I found this 4-track loop sequencer to be the fastest, easiest-to-get-good-results of the batch currently installed on my iPhone/iPad. The trick is that by forcing you to use limited sounds & tracks, you get more creative in performance. The samples provided with it are good. Wish it had Audiobus & iPad optimization.

Long awaited "Export." Bravo!! Devs Just out of the blue, saw this article on trendhunter. Love the UI: A+ Sound, Filters: A Simple & Control Improve on adding 1. ACP and 2. Countdown/off to record • Latency is slight. It needs to catch on the first layout positions Im still liking it - so more surprises please... Thank You Devs

Having just recently aquired an Iphone 5c, I found that alot of my ipad apps were either not compatible or it cost more money to get the additional iphone version. While searching for simple apps to occasionally noodle around with on my iphone, I found this app. Have to say, it really looked too good to be true but I have already created an entire song and only played with the app 2hrs. This app is superior in every way to figure(wish I love) and worth the additional price. From one home musician to another, just buy it.

The record function makes the app crash on iOS 5.1

This is an awesome app!!! I also love Figure. Triqtraq is Figure on steroids!!! Adds chords, several layers of tweaking and song pattern building to what Figure offers. Whew... ok got that out... Now... what helps make it 5 stars and more... 1. Need universal iPad version. 2. Needs to work in landscape and portrait view. 3. Need a user manual, preferably built into app. Going to website to look at videos for help is a time waster, and a bit of a turnoff... 4. More granular control over chords would be awesome. As is, the pitch control over chords functions more as an effect than as a transposing tool. Having said that, its already awesome... If you are willing to spend 30 mins to learn the app, and a little time to grow w it, this baby will just give and give :-)

One of the hidden gems of the iOS music world. Elegant and powerful. Love it.
